Our standards

Editorial Policy

How DietDelta approaches calculator methods, nutrition guides, sources, corrections and content updates.

Purpose and scope

DietDelta publishes general educational content about calculations, food units, meal preparation and common eating patterns. It is an educational website, not a clinical service.

Our aim is to make everyday tools and explanations understandable. Pages should describe what a tool does, what information it uses and where its results may be limited.

Calculator methods and testing

Where applicable, calculator pages should state the formula, units, assumptions and limitations. Results should be described as estimates when they depend on equations or user-entered information.

  • Test ordinary inputs, boundary values and invalid entries before publication.
  • Use clear labels and units so visitors can understand what they are entering.
  • Explain important assumptions and avoid implying that an estimate is a direct measurement.
  • Do not claim a calculation is clinically accurate merely because it uses a published equation.

Sources and review

Nutrition and health-related pages should cite relevant authoritative sources, such as government health agencies, established medical organizations and peer-reviewed research where appropriate.

Clinical topics should receive qualified professional review before being presented as advice. General educational content should not be framed as a diagnosis, treatment plan or individualized recommendation.

Corrections and updates

Readers can report errors, broken links or unclear explanations through the Contact page. Please include the page URL and enough detail to help us identify the issue.

Material errors should be reviewed and corrected promptly. Pages should be revisited when reliable guidance, calculation methods or relevant source material changes.

Advertising and editorial independence

Advertising, if displayed, should not be presented as editorial endorsement. Advertising does not change a calculator’s stated method or the educational purpose of a guide.

Limitations and reader safety

DietDelta’s general guides are not individualized medical advice. We aim for clarity and usefulness, but content should not be used to diagnose or treat disease or as a substitute for guidance from a qualified healthcare professional.

Important: Calculator outputs depend on user inputs, methods and assumptions. Verify important decisions with appropriate authoritative sources or a qualified professional.
